In February, Christian Dendy, Food Lion store manager at University Plaza in Elizabeth City was named the 2024 Store Manager of the Year for Food Lion’s Richmond/Norfolk Division. Food Lion selected five managers that were eligible to receive this annual honor which celebrates individuals who exemplify Food Lion’s values and represents the highest standards in leadership, store operations and community influence. There were 1,100 managers eligible for this award throughout all Food Lion stores, and over 170 stores that are in the Richmond/Norfolk Division.
Christian has worked for Food Lion since 1989 and has also been awarded the 2022 Divisional Store Manager of the Year.
