The Rosemyr Corporation

Organized and based in Henderson, North Carolina, The Rosemyr Corporation was incorporated on December 6th, 1954 by Paul H. Rose and wife Emma Myrick Rose. The corporation is a result of a merger of all real estate companies owned by Paul H. Rose, founder of Rose's 5-10-25 Cent Stores and the predecessor of Rose's Stores, Inc. The merger brought together the Rose Realty Company, PHR 21st Corporation and the Jealto Corporation.
Emrose

Based in Virginia, Emrose Corporation was incorporated on December 29, 1937 by Paul H. Rose. Emrose was established as a retirement account for Mr. Rose's wife, Emma Rose, and his three daughters with the initial investments focused in residential apartments.
H.H.C. Co., Inc.

Formed in 1968 by Mr. L. H. Harvin, Jr., Dr. John R. Harvin, Mr. George E. Hutchens, and Mr. John T. Church, H.H.C. Company was founded for the purpose of developing and testing the concept of a "combo" store. The store blended supermarket merchandise from Mr. Hutchens' Big Bear Food Stores (a predecessor of Ruddick Corporations' Harris Teeter) with general merchandise from Rose's Stores, Inc. discount stores.
All shares of stock from the various real estate corporations are now owned by the descendants (and families) of Mr. & Mrs. Rose. Historically, the investments included apartments, coastal property, office buildings, and retail facilities but today are limited to retail centers. Subsequently, these corporations have invested in operating businesses from time to time but now limit this to the AA Self Storage division.
